Session durations, room allocation and the order of the days are set once the accepted contributions are known; nothing is published here before it is decided.
Formats of the scientific programme
- Plenary and keynote lectures
- Invited lectures that open the days of the conference. The 2027 lecturers are announced as they are confirmed.
- Symposia
- A thematic strand of several sessions built around one subject, with its own chairs and invited speakers.
- Special sessions
- One session on a focused topic, proposed and chaired by its organisers, who invite the speakers.
- Contributed oral sessions
- Peer-reviewed talks grouped by research track. The oral or poster assignment is communicated after acceptance.
- Poster sessions
- Dedicated time for discussion at the poster, with the same peer review and the same place in the proceedings as a talk.
- Tutorials
- An introduction to a subject in one session, for researchers entering the field or moving to it from a neighbouring area.
- Industrial workshops
- A session run by a company on a measurement method, a design tool or a technology, scheduled within the programme.
- Technology demonstrations
- Instruments and systems shown in the exhibition area during breaks and poster sessions.
- Awards
- Awards for AES 2027 are announced with the programme.
Four days in Athens
The conference runs from Tuesday 16 to Friday 19 March 2027 at the War Museum of Athens. The programme is published on 19 February 2027 with the session list, the presenting authors and the presenter guidelines. Registered participants receive it by email on the same day.
Proposing a symposium or a special session
Symposia and special sessions are proposed by members of the community. A proposal needs a title, a short scope, the organisers’ names and, where possible, prospective speakers.
